CardDex is a free trading card scanner and collection tracker designed to make collecting faster, easier and more enjoyable. Scan cards with your phone, build your personal collection, keep track of duplicates and see which creatures you have already discovered in your CardDex.

## Two ways to scan

**Quick Scan**
Use the camera to quickly recognize the creature shown on a card and add it to your digital Dex. This mode is perfect if you mainly want to track which entries you have already discovered and which ones are still missing.

**Exact Card Scan**
Want to know exactly which card you have? Exact Scan analyzes the card and helps identify the specific card, set and card number. Once identified, the card can be added directly to your collection.

## Manage your card collection

CardDex is more than just a scanner.

Add exact cards to your collection and keep track of:

* Card variants
* Card condition
* Duplicate quantities
* Sets and card numbers
* Rarity and card information
* Current market values
* Total collection value

If you own the same card more than once, CardDex keeps track of the quantity instead of creating unnecessary duplicate entries.

## Track card values

CardDex can retrieve available market price information for supported cards, allowing you to keep an eye on the estimated value of individual cards and your collection.

Market values can be refreshed from within the app and may vary depending on availability, language, variant and external market data.

## Designed with privacy in mind

Card recognition is primarily processed locally on your device.

Camera images used for recognition are not uploaded to a CardDex server, and CardDex does not require a user account.

Your collection, discovery progress and settings are stored locally on your device.

CardDex includes import and export functionality so you can create a backup of your collection and restore it later.

CardDex was created as an alternative to card scanner apps that lock basic scanning and collection features behind subscriptions.
