A Pomodoro timer should do one thing without fail: tell you when time is up. This one hands every session to Android's exact alarms, so it keeps time with the app closed, the screen off and the phone asleep, and it rings on your alarm volume, not as a quiet notification. A timer you can trust
Most timer apps count down inside the app, so when your phone puts the app to sleep the timer drifts, freezes or shows negative numbers. Here the end time belongs to the system. The countdown on your lock screen and the home screen widgets tick by themselves, and the Alarm check proves it on your own phone: it runs a 15-second test with the screen locked and tells you how late the alarm rang. If your phone's battery saver holds alarms back, Strict alarms end every session with Android's alarm clock instead.
