MovieFinder: DVD & Blu-ray

Scan a barcode, type in which shelf the case goes on, and your DVD and Blu-ray collection becomes searchable. No more standing in front of 400 cases looking for one movie. Scan the barcode on the back of the case. The app finds the movie and adds the cover, plot, year, runtime, director, cast, rating and trailer. Then it asks for two numbers: the shelf and the row. That's it. Six months later you type the title and it tells you exactly where the movie is.

Scan instead of typing

Hold the barcode up to the camera. MovieFinder recognizes the movie and removes the extra packaging text, so "Blade Runner 2049 (4K UHD + Blu-ray) [Steelbook]" shows up as plain Blade Runner 2049. Pick the right movie, enter where it goes, done. Barcode scratched, or a rare release no database knows? Type the number or the title yourself and it still gets added to your library.

Find any movie in seconds

Search goes through your own collection first. Every result shows the cover with the shelf and row right next to it, so you know where to look before you even get up. It also finds movies by their original title, which helps with anything you bought abroad.

Your whole movie library in one list

The library shows everything you own. Filter by shelf or genre, sort by title, year, date added or position. Tap a movie to see the cover, plot, cast, director, rating and trailer.

Works offline

Everything you add is saved on your phone. Your library, the positions and search all work without internet. You only need a connection to look up a new movie, so a basement or a garage is no problem.

Bring your list from another app

Already keep track of your movies somewhere else? Export the list there as a CSV file and import it into your library or your watchlist. MovieFinder looks up every title for you, and anything it can't find you can search for by hand.

Free and full version

The first 50 movies are free. After that the full version removes the limit, either as a monthly or yearly subscription or as a one-off lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your own currency. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and you can manage or cancel them any time in Google Play.
