CROSS-CHECK BEFORE YOU GO
Follow publication alerts for the Mountain Weather Information Service (MWIS) and, in covered Scottish areas, the Scottish Avalanche Information Service (SAIS). Their reports open on the providers' websites and require a connection. Mountain Weather does not reproduce their reports and is not affiliated with MWIS or SAIS.

Mountain Weather is independent and is not an official warning or avalanche-forecast authority. Use it alongside Met Office warnings, relevant avalanche information and the conditions you observe. Scores describe forecast weather, not terrain, underfoot conditions or your party's experience.
