Your phone asks "where is this website?" thousands of times a day — and someone you never chose answers. Usually your carrier. This app gives that choice back to you.
WHAT IT DOES, IN PLAIN WORDS
Every time you open a site or an app, your phone first asks for an address. DNS Changer lets you pick who answers: a company that's fast and discreet (Cloudflare, Google, Quad9), one that hides ads along the way (AdGuard), one built for maximum privacy (Mullvad), or one that shields kids from adult content (OpenDNS). No root, no account, nothing to configure — one button.
Your data does NOT pass through our servers, because we don't have any. The tunnel carries only tiny address questions; your videos, photos and messages take their normal route at full speed.
HONEST ABOUT AD BLOCKING
A DNS provider with an ad filter (like AdGuard) hides most banners in games, apps and websites. But not everything: ads inside YouTube, Facebook or Instagram stay, because they come from the same addresses as the content. We say this up front — here, in the app and in the FAQ — because we'd rather you know before installing than after.
YOU DECIDE WHICH APPS — AND WHICH SERVER (Pro)
Some apps simply don't like a DNS in between: a bank with its own certificate checks, a messenger pinned to its servers, Android Auto. Keep them outside the tunnel with one switch each; everything else stays protected. And if you already pay for NextDNS, AdGuard DNS or Control D, paste your personal link (DoH or DoT) and the app uses your own filters, encrypted, instead of a public provider.
WHAT IT COSTS
The core is free forever: switching DNS to any of the built-in providers and their flavours (AdGuard Family, Cloudflare for Families, Quad9 Unsecured…), a backup provider that takes over if yours goes silent, auto-start after reboot, IPv6. No ads, no limits.
SURVIVES PHONE RESTARTS
The most common complaint about DNS apps is "it turns itself off". Not here: turn on auto-start and protection comes back after every reboot and after the system kills the app in the background. If your provider ever stops answering, the app switches to your backup instead of leaving you offline — and tells you it did.
Pro is ONE payment — less than two months of a typical "privacy protection" subscription, except here you pay once and you're done. No renewals, no "free trials" that quietly charge your card. Pro adds:
• NEW: per-app control — keep your bank, messengers or Android Auto out of the tunnel
• NEW: your own encrypted server — paste your NextDNS, AdGuard DNS or Control D link (DoH or DoT)
• NEW: query log — see what your phone asks for, stored on your device only, off by default
• internet speed test (download, upload, ping)
• DNS ranking — three measurement rounds, pick the fastest with one tap
• your own DNS server
• encrypted lookups (DoH) — nobody along the way sees what you ask
• Quick Settings tile
PRIVACY
No ads. No analytics. No accounts. No servers of ours. We know nothing about you and it's staying that way — our privacy policy fits on one page because there's nothing to describe.
Technical note: Android allows one active VPN at a time. This app uses that mechanism (it's the only no-root way to change DNS), so it can't run alongside another VPN app — just switch us off while you need the other one.
