HOW TO PLAY 29
• 4 players in two teams; partners sit opposite. 32 cards: J 9 A 10 K Q 8 7 in each suit.
• Jacks are worth 3 points, nines 2, aces and tens 1: 28 points in all.
• After four cards each, bid from 16 to 28 for the points your team will take.
• The highest bidder picks the trump and places it face down, or takes the seventh card.
• Follow suit when you can. If you can't, ask to see the trump: from then on trumps win.
• King and queen of trumps in one hand, the pair, moves the target by 4.
• Make your bid to win a game point; fall short and lose one. First team to +6 wins.
