StayKnown, built by 6clement Joshua, is a consent-based personal safety and trusted communication app designed to help people stay connected when safety, privacy, identity and response matter. StayKnown is not a secret tracker. It is built for people you already know, trust and approve—such as family members, close friends, guardians and emergency contacts.

WHY STAYKNOWN

People leave home every day for work, school, meetings, travel, rides, visits and unfamiliar places. When plans change or someone stops responding, trusted people may not know where they were going or when to check in.

StayKnown helps users share the right safety context with the right approved people while keeping consent and user control at the centre.

KEY FEATURES

APPROVED CONTACTS
Create trusted safety relationships through an approval process. Emergency and SOS contacts are not simply added without consent. Approval helps protect both the account owner and the person being invited.

VISIT SAFETY
Plan a Visit by adding a destination, purpose, person to meet, transport type, expected duration and selected contacts where supported. Before a Visit begins, StayKnown can perform a safety-readiness check and prepare the Visit context for trusted contacts.

LIVE VISIT UPDATES
During an active Visit, approved contacts can receive safety updates. Users control when a Visit starts and ends. Sensitive end actions may require reconfirmation to reduce accidental interruption.

CAPTURE
During an active Visit, Capture can send an additional location-based safety update to approved contacts.

SOS
Activate SOS during an eligible active safety flow to alert approved contacts with urgent safety information. StayKnown may also notify contacts when updates are affected by location, battery or VPN conditions where supported.

THREAT ALERT
When no Visit is active, the UNSAFE hold action can send a Threat Alert to approved safety contacts if the user believes they may be threatened. Contacts can acknowledge and respond through supported safety actions.

I’M SAFE
Confirm morning or night safety check-ins so approved contacts know you are safe. If an expected check-in is missed, StayKnown can send awareness notifications and remind the account owner to check in.

PRIVATE, SAFETY-AWARE CHAT
Chat with approved contacts using text, media, voice notes, replies, reactions and other supported messaging features. Chat can include identity, presence and location context where enabled.

CHAT PRIVACY CONTROLS
Control forwarding, copying, saving, screenshots, message pinning and forwarded location precision where supported.

LANGUAGE SUPPORT
Chat language preferences and supported translation features can help approved contacts communicate across languages.

SAFETY HISTORY AND PROOF
Review Visit, SOS, Capture, Threat Alert, I’M SAFE and contact-related safety events where available. Safety Gallery can help trusted contacts recognise the protected user during important moments.

GUARDIAN AND MINOR SAFETY
Eligible users aged 13–17 may require guardian consent. Guardian approval and safety restrictions support responsible use involving younger users.

BIOMETRIC PROTECTION
Fingerprint, face recognition or device authentication may protect sensitive areas and selected safety actions where enabled.

PRIVACY AND RESPONSIBLE USE

StayKnown must not be used for stalking, harassment, coercion, impersonation, secret monitoring, grooming, false emergencies or exposing another person’s private information.

The app may request location, notifications, camera, microphone and media access only when required by the features being used and subject to device permissions and user choices.

StayKnown does not guarantee prevention, rescue, emergency response, exact location or contact availability. It does not replace police, hospitals, rescue services or local emergency numbers. In immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency service when it is safe to do so.
