Galler is a 3D virtual art museum you can walk through, room by room, from famous paintings by Monet, Van Gogh and Rembrandt to prints by Hokusai and Hiroshige. Every work on the walls has a label that tells you what you are looking at.
Walk the museum
Wander through more than 110 art galleries in three buildings, joined by doorways. Drag or turn your phone to look around, and tap the floor to walk. Open the museum map to see where you are, or go straight to any room. It is a virtual tour you take at your own pace, and the museum needs no account.
The 19th-century building
Its 53 artist galleries cover 1800 to 1910. Each gallery follows one artist within one style, from earlier works to later ones. The rooms run from Romanticism to Impressionism and beyond, with Monet, Renoir, Manet, Van Gogh, Cézanne, Degas and many more.
The Old Masters building
Its 33 rooms surround an open courtyard and hold more than 200 European paintings, drawings and prints from 1300 to 1800. Walk from the early Renaissance past Dürer and Cranach to Rubens, Rembrandt, Watteau, Tiepolo, Boucher and David.
The Asian art pavilion
You reach it through the café. Its 28 rooms are set around a water court, with more than 150 paintings and prints from China, Korea, Japan, Iran and South Asia: ukiyo-e by Harunobu, Utamaro, Hokusai and Hiroshige, Persian manuscripts and Mughal painting. Prints, album leaves and manuscript pages hang in low-lit cabinets.
Stop at any work
Walk up to a work to read its label: the title, the artist, the date and a short note. Choose Look closer to see the image in detail and zoom in. Many works also have a short reading and a prompt for what to look at.
Artists and artworks
Browse more than 2,600 artworks by more than 450 artists without entering the 3D art museum, from paintings, prints and drawings to calligraphy, ceramics and sculpture. Search by title, artist, style or year, or browse by style and period to find famous paintings and quieter works that draw you in. From an artist's page, walk all of that artist's works in a 3D art gallery of their own.
Atlas
Atlas places artists and their works in time and shows the styles that connect them, like a map of art history.
Favorites and your own space
Sign in with your email address and a six-digit code. There is no password. Save the famous paintings and other works you love as favorites. Every signed-in account gets one private space, which starts with a Courtyard. Room styles include a plain room and a long gallery. Hang saved artworks beside your own photos, then walk through your exhibition, a private art gallery you arranged. Favorites and your space are private to your account. Save a photo of your space, or its arrangement, through your phone's share sheet.
Images and credits
Artwork images come from the open-access collections of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Cleveland Museum of Art, The Metropolitan Museum of Art and SMK, the National Gallery of Denmark. Each artwork page names the museum that holds the original and credits the image. Galler is not affiliated with or endorsed by these museums. The rooms of this virtual art museum are imagined for Galler and are not replicas of the museums that hold the originals.
How it is written
Readings, looking prompts and notes about artists, rooms and styles are drafted with AI from the museums' records and other published sources, then checked against those sources. Translations are made with AI too. Titles, dates and credits come from the museums' own records.

The app opens in your phone's language when Galler has it: English, Korean, Spanish, Japanese, French, Italian or Brazilian Portuguese. Change it in the menu and the app remembers. The virtual museum, Atlas and the main pages are in all seven languages; some other pages are in English only.
